Laury is a power yoga instructor, sports nutritionist, and wellness blogger. She lives in suburban Philadelphia with her husband, two young children, rescue dog, and cat. Laury has been in the wellness industry since 2002 and now focuses on food freedom and body positivity. She loves to cook and creates healthy, simple recipes, and also has a passion for non-toxic DIY beauty and skincare.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS/PASSION PROJECT?

NAME 3 POSITIVE THINGS YOU DO EACH DAY AND WHY?
1. Meditate 2. Write in my Five minute journal 3. Hug my babies. Meditation really grounds me. I adore my yoga practice, and it has changed my perception of life in many ways, but when I am meditating daily, it keeps me calm and grounded on a whole other level. The five minute journal is a great way to set the tone for your day by expressing gratitude and also thinking of a positive mantra about yourself (which isn't always easy because many of us tend to be self-critical), which I think is so important. My babies make me feel better no matter what, and hugging them all day every day is the best feeling in the world, but I don't really think I need to explain that one!
YOU ARE A NEW ADDITION TO THE CRAYON BOX. WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?
I want to know how many people say the answer "unicorn?" Ha! My color would be black with pink shimmer highlight.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO LIVE A MORE POSITIVE LIFE?
My children and my husband.
WHAT DO YOU WORK TOWARD IN YOUR FREE TIME? AT WORK?
I am constantly working on building my brand. Instagram is my favorite platform because I love the sense of community. With that said, I am always planning out content that I believe my audience will find valuable. Whether it is wellness tips, products I love, recipe posts, or yoga inspiration! I also continue to write on my blog each week.

CAN YOU SHARE AN EXPERIENCE YOU'VE HAD WHERE YOU OBSERVED POSITIVE THINKING PROFOUNDLY IMPACTING YOUR LIFE?
As a teenager and even in my early 20s I had a very negative and self-critical mindset. Once I found yoga I really learned first that this was happening, because I didn't even realize how negative I was, and then I took the steps to change every day. It was not just one experience, but a practice I worked towards daily through self-realization.
