WHAT MAKES ALANNA A WELLNESS LEADER?

I've been passionate about health and wellness all of my life and understand the importance that fitness and emotional health has on your overall well-being. For over 4 years I've worked to improve the quality life of my clients through health and wellness as an Individual and Relationship Therapist with Philadelphia MFT as well as a fitness instructor with Flywheelsports and SLT (Strengthen Lengthen and Tone) in Center City Philadelphia.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS/PASSION PROJECT?

I'm passionate about wholistic health and wellness; meaning I believe that health doesn't function separately in parts but in synergy to create the best possible version of self. As a heart attack and open heart surgery survivor, I've personally done the work to improve myself physically, mentally and emotionally. I'm so grateful to channel that work and energy into the Philadelphia community through Therapy and Fitness to help people thrive personally and relationally. I'm currently developing my personal website, alannagthemft.com, so that I can continue to connect and challenge people that are longing to improving the quality of their minds, bodies and relationships.


NAME 3 POSITIVE THINGS YOU DO EACH DAY AND WHY?

Three positive things I do each day is pray, journal, and workout. Prayer allows me to honor that there is something greater than myself in this world, writing gives me a time to reflect on where I am in my journey as well as express gratitude for all that I have in my life, and working out allows me to give thanks to my body for allowing me to do all that I aim to do each day.

 


YOU ARE A NEW ADDITION TO THE CRAYON BOX. WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU BE AND WHY?

It would have to be some shade of Purple. Purple is often associated with uplifting spirits, calming the mind and nerves and other positive qualities. It's always been my favorite color and I feel the adjectives and feelings that are associated with it clearly reflect my personality and how I would like to positively impact others.


WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO LIVE A MORE POSITIVE LIFE?

My goals and dreams and people that are directly impacted by those goals I have for myself.

 


WHAT DO YOU WORK TOWARD IN YOUR FREE TIME? AT WORK?

In my free time I'm always working towards being a better version of myself in all that I attach myself. At work I'm always curious about ways I could do something more efficient and effective to help those that I work with. I want to offer my clients the best possible experience.

CAN YOU SHARE AN EXPERIENCE YOU'VE HAD WHERE YOU OBSERVED POSITIVE THINKING PROFOUNDLY IMPACTING YOUR LIFE?

I had a major heart attack over 5 years ago and I know that one of the main reasons I was able to bounce back and now live my life to the fullest was due to the positivity shared by myself and support system regarding my prognosis and recovery.


WHY ARE YOU EXCITED TO BE A TPC AMBASSADOR?

I'm excited to be associated with a movement that is cultivating positivity in the lives of others and those who are involved. It's another sense of accountability to myself and others.
